Sky / Heaven

Shamayim refers to both the physical sky and the spiritual heavens, reflecting the Jewish understanding that the physical and spiritual worlds are intertwined. In Genesis, shamayim is the first thing God names after creating the heavens. The phrase 'b'ezrat Hashamayim' (with Heaven's help) is commonly used in daily speech, acknowledging divine providence in everyday matters.
