About “Strength” in Hebrew

Gevurah is one of the ten sefirot in Kabbalah, representing divine judgment and strength. In Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers), true gevurah is defined not as physical might but as the ability to master one's own impulses: 'Who is strong? One who conquers their inclination.' In modern Israel, Yom HaZikaron honors those who showed gevurah in defense of the nation.
