Audacity

Chutzpah is a Yiddish-Hebrew word that has entered the English language, describing a blend of audacity, nerve, and shameless boldness. In traditional usage it was negative—the Talmud warns against chutzpah—but in modern Israel and diaspora culture, it has taken on a more positive connotation of entrepreneurial daring and willingness to challenge authority. Israel's startup culture is often attributed to this national trait of chutzpah.
