Yitro יתרו

Exodus 18:1–20:23

Parshat Yitro contains the defining moment of Jewish history — the revelation at Mount Sinai and the giving of the Ten Commandments. It opens with Jethro's visit to Moses in the wilderness, his wise counsel to establish a system of judges, and culminates in God's descent upon Sinai in fire and thunder to speak the Ten Commandments directly to the entire nation.
