Rav Yitzchak Isaac Eichenstein

The Kiviashder Rav of Forest Hills, Queens (1913-2004). Born in Kashau, Czechoslovakia, he was sent to Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen, where he lost his parents, wife, and three young children. After the War, he arranged for the education of many orphans and established a beis din to be matir hundreds of agunos. In 1953, under the auspices of the Satmar Rav, he established the Central Rabbinical Council of the United States and Canada.
