9 Shevat
9 שְׁבָט
The Month of Shevat (שְׁבָט)
Shevat is the month of renewal and the first stirrings of spring. On the 15th of Shevat (Tu BiShvat), we celebrate the New Year for Trees. Though the ground may still appear barren in Israel, the sap has begun to rise in the trees — a powerful metaphor for hidden growth and potential. It is customary to eat fruits of the Land of Israel on Tu BiShvat, including the seven species: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives, and dates.
Born in Shevat
Shevat is the month of new beginnings and hidden growth. Those born in Shevat are said to be innovative, independent thinkers with deep roots.

The Water-Bearer (D'li) represents the pouring forth of wisdom and blessing. In Kabbalistic thought, Shevat's mazal connects to the Tree of Life — as sap begins to rise in trees during this month, so too does spiritual energy begin to flow. Those born under D'li are original thinkers and natural innovators.
