Kotel (Western Wall) Explore
It moves me just to think how many prayers have been poured out before these walls. Before I made Aliyah to Israel, I had actually never stepped foot in the land. I did not feel like I could accurately attempt to capture the energy and feeling of the Wall until I could experience prayer there in person, so for years, I never allowed myself to painting the Western Wall. This series of paintings is my attempt to connect to the Kotel through my art on a more personal level. I hope this perspective, as if the viewer is right there and looking up towards the Heavens from below, will transport the viewer to one of the holiest places in the world.
